Flash Games Developer

They produce a variety of work, from corporate websites to interactive experiences, but are probably best known for their online games development work, which includes online multiplayer games and UGC/social media.

Currently they are looking for a full-time games Developer for their London studio. Your remit will be the development of Flash games in AS3, with a working knowledge of AS2 / AS1. You should be skilled in OOP and applying design patterns for efficient coding. Experience of games and a knowledge of frameworks: Box2D, Papervision, Away3D, PureMVC.

Additionally you should have experience of innovative and experimental work and a working knowledge of source control systems. Excellent attention to detail and quality of QA. Experience with unit testing and inline documentation and an understanding of on-line best practices and industry trends. It would also be helpful if you have a knowledge of Unity, Unreal Development Kit, XBLA development / XNA, OpenGL and Silverlight.

Primarily you should have a minimum of 2 years commercial Flash development and a passion for evaluating new technologies and approaches. Good in brainstorming, applied creative thinking / ideas generation. Currently they are looking for a C++ Developer. You will be part of a small team composed of other software and Flash engineers based in Soho. The deliverable is an application delivering contents to end-users, through a Flash user interface. You will be involved in the C++ implementation and interfacing with a back-end service using well defined standards and proprietary base components, more specifically related to media and data transport.

You should have at least 3 years experience in C/C++, a good knowledge in security models and encryption systems. Experience in REST, SOAP, XML and any other technology used in a client/server model. Familiar with writing test units used for validating software components written and for regression tests. Ability to work to strict deadlines without direct supervision.

It would also be helpful if you have experience of programming on game consoles or other real-time/embedded platforms. You will be part of a small team composed of software and Flash engineers based in Europe. The deliverable is a user interface written in Flash and interfacing with a back-end C++ application in charge of communication with a back end service to deliver media contents to the end user.

You should have at least 3 years experience of ActionScript v2.0 and a good knowledge in designing clear and usable user interface. Experience using Adobe PhotoShop for graphic design and able to provide graphic elements fitting the user interface. Good knowledge in any software configuration management systems, ideally Perforce. Ability to work to strict deadlines without direct supervision.

You should also be familiar creating games targeting Flash environments and ideally have experience and knowledge in C/C++. Currently they are looking for an experienced Lead Creative Developer with a strong online games background to lead a team of Flash Developers and develop innovative and highly interactive digital solutions, through Flash Actionscripting.
You will work with other Designers and Developers to produce online games, websites, online advertising and viral applications for high-profile entertainment brands in both the UK and across Europe, as well as mentor and support your team of Creative Developers.

Extensive experience in the production of complex and highly interactive games, as well as websites, virals, desktop apps and online advertising within an agency environment. You should have a passion for kids/youth/family audiences and have a natural curiosity and desire to learn and make a difference.
