SCEE is the central support organisation for over 100 countries. They market all hardware in the PlayStation portfolio and are a key player in the publishing of software on all PlayStation formats – PS2, PSP, PS3 & PSN.


SCEE is looking for a PR and event manager to build awareness for SCEE published PlayStation titles through PR events and campaigns. The role involves working closely with the appointed PR agency, developers, product managers in London and (most importantly) PR managers in different countries, and thus includes regular travel. The role will handle software events planning and execution, supporting company wide events and trade shows, create and distribute press materials for implementation of PR strategy and analyse results.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordination, production and distribution to territories of written PR materials and artwork, code etc for software products
- Planning and implementation of press conferences, events, etc.)
- Promotion of internal development teams via territory tours, events and studio visits
- Creating content and materials to support internal, trade or customer meetings / exhibitions and personal attendance at such events throughout the year
- Tracking and managing localisation of PR assets for press kits and events
- Contribution to strategic PR plans (in collaboration with PR agency resource) Evaluation and presentation of PR coverage to SCEE management and developers.

Skills/experience required:
- A-level/Degree level education
- 4-5 years PR or related work experience
- Advanced organisation skills and detail focus
- Creative thinker with a pragmatic and commercial outlook
- Self starter
- Team player – broad level of involvement across many functions
- Experience of major business applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Passion for entertainment (preferably video games).

The role covers a broad and interesting spectrum of activities including, strategy, market research and analysis, web and print advertising, email communications, viral marketing and social media initiatives and occasional event management at industry events. The role requires someone with experience managing and optimizing search marketing campaigns (Yahoo, MSN, Google), CPC campaigns and the ideal candidate will have experience with both affiliate platforms and CPA campaigns.
