They currently require an experienced designer to join their team to work on a new racing project. The Chief Games Designer will be responsible for the conceptualisation and direction of project(s) within the studio and will be heading up a new team. They will also be responsible for overseeing the designs of all projects within the studio and monitor those projects through development ensuring that they adhere to the vision and direction, meeting the highest standard within required timescales. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' proven games design experience, with at least two completed titles under their belt. Other requirements include experience of playing both PC and console games, knowledge 3D Studio Max and experience of code e.g. C/C++ or AI programming. Some animation skills, HTML knowledge and project management experience would also be advantageous. They are looking for designers who are experienced in racing or strategy games.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced senior level designer to join a successful studio in a sunny climate! The successful candidate will manage a team of Level Designers and work closely with the Lead Artist, Lead Programmer and Producer.
The successful candidate with have 5+ years' experience working as a Level Designer and have experience managing a team too. They must have extensive experience with 3rd party level design editors (UnrealEd, Doom Edit etc) or existing in house game development editors as well an ability and understanding of working in a 3D environment.

They currently require an experienced Senior Designer with proven ability to translate high-level concept to detailed mechanic/system design. Applicants must have a minimum 3 years experience in a Senior game design role with at least 1 AAA quality game shipped.
The successful candidate will also have experience in a level design capacity (using level editors) and have an understanding of 3D packages (Maya, 3DSMax). Experience on driving or racing games and experience of scripting are highly desirable. Creative writing and/or professional writing a bonus.
